"Using my credit was more hassle than it should’ve been"
I tried using my credit at dinner and the whole thing ended up being kind of frustrating. The app seemed to confuse the server, and it took a while before anyone could figure out what was going on. It did work eventually, but it definitely wasn’t smooth. What made it more annoying was that nobody really seemed to take ownership of the issue, it felt like everyone was just passing it along instead of helping fix it

"Verification took longer than expected"
The verification process took way too long for me. I’ve used similar services before where getting verified was quick, so this felt a bit frustrating and slower than I expected

The deals are solid, so I’ll give them credit there. But the app itself feels clunky. Pages took a while to load, and it was harder than it should’ve been to find my credit. Not a terrible experience, just more frustrating than I expected

"Maybe I’m not checking it carefully enough..."
Maybe I’m not checking it carefully enough, but my Inkind credit balance never seems to add up right. I used some at dinner, and afterward the app showed one amount, then later it changed again. I could be missing something, but it’s annoying and makes it hard to trust how much credit I actually have left.

"Didn't Really Feel Right to Me"
I tried using Inkind and, i don’t know... it just didn’t give me the best feeling. The whole process felt kind of unclear, like I wasn’t totally sure who I was dealing with or where my money was really going. Maybe it works fine for other people, but for me it just didn’t feel legit enough to feel comfortable. I don’t think I’ll be using it again.

"Decent deals, but billing could be clearer"
The deals seemed good at first, maybe better than what I’d seen elsewhere, but the billing part wasn’t all that clear to me. I only noticed some extra details after I’d already paid, which was kind of frustrating. Support was alright, I guess, but I still felt a bit confused afterward.

"Felt misled by all the messages"
I signed up one time thinking it would be straightforward, but now I’m getting emails and texts nonstop. i feel a bit misled because I didn’t expect to be pushed stuff this much. I tried just ignoring it at first, but it got annoying really fast. Not worth the hassle for me.

"Credits expired before I even got to use them"
I’m frustrated because my credits expired before I even had a chance to use them. I get that there are probably rules about expiration dates, but it still feels unfair when I paid for something and didn’t actually get any value from it. I wasn’t trying to game the system or anything — I just expected to be able to use what I had.

"Wanted to like it, but left disappointed"
I was excited to try this place, but the food ended up being really bland. At first I kept thinking maybe the next bite would be better, but it just never really came together. The service wasn’t terrible, but it felt rushed, like they were trying to move us along quickly. I left feeling a little bummed because I really wanted to enjoy it

"It worked out, but the terms could be clearer"
In the end, it did work, but I was a little frustrated by the process. I tried Inkind because the deal looked good at first, but once I got into it, the offer terms weren’t as clear as I expected. I had to click around quite a bit to figure out what actually counted and what didn’t, and some details felt like they only showed up later. I don’t really like having to guess when money is involved, so I wish they made the rules much more obvious before you buy.

"Not a lot of options around here"
I have mixed feelings about the restaurant choices in my area. On one hand, it’s nice that there are at least a few places nearby, but the options are limited and most of them aren’t places I’d normally go to. I wish there was a bit more variety

"Booking worked, but it felt a little clunky"
I used inkind.com to make a dinner reservation and, it was mostly fine. Like, it worked in the end, so I can’t really complain too much. The restaurant options showed up without any issue, and I got the confirmation quickly, which was nice.

That said, the actual booking process felt a bit confusing here and there. I had to go back once because the time I picked didn’t seem to save right away, which was kind of annoying. It wasn’t a huge deal or anything, and it did what I needed it to do, but yeah, it could definitely be a little smoother.

"Discount Code Was a Letdown"
I tried using a discount code they emailed me, but it wouldn’t apply at checkout. At first I thought maybe I was missing something or entering it wrong, but I checked a few times and still couldn’t get it to work. I reached out to support and the answers were vague, which just made me wonder if the promo was ever actually worth the hassle. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but i don’t think I’ll be using it again.

"Gift card arrived too late for the birthday"
I ordered a gift card assuming it would show up quickly, since that’s kind of the whole point of getting one last minute. Unfortunately, it took way longer than I expected, and it made the birthday situation feel really awkward. It did arrive eventually, but by then the moment had already passed, which was frustrating. I wouldn’t use this again if I needed something to get there on time

"Wish I’d looked closer at the privacy side first"
I signed up for Inkind thinking it would be simple, but I regret not paying more attention to what they were asking for upfront. It felt like they wanted a lot of personal info for something that didn’t seem like it should need that much, and the privacy details weren’t exactly easy to follow.

Once I started using it, I ended up getting more emails and texts than I expected. Maybe I missed a setting somewhere, but that’s kind of the problem — it didn’t feel obvious how to control it or turn things off without digging around.

In the end, I just didn’t feel comfortable leaving my info or payment details with them. I’m sure some people don’t mind it, but for me it felt more stressful than useful, and I wish I had been more cautious before signing up.

"Felt like the restaurants were hiding from me"
I signed up thinking I’d actually be able to use the credit somewhere nearby, but somehow there were barely any participating restaurants showing up for me. And the few that did pop up? Not places I’d normally choose, so the credit ended up feeling useless. Maybe it works great if you’re in a big city, but from where I’m sitting, it felt like the good options were being kept in some secret VIP version of the app I wasn’t allowed to see. Overall, disappointing

"Refund ended up being such a hassle"
I thought canceling and getting a refund would be straightforward, so at first I wasn’t too worried. But then support took forever to respond, and when they did, the answers were so vague that I just got more frustrated. I kept thinking, okay maybe the next message will actually help, but it never really felt like anyone was trying to fix the problem. By the end I was just annoyed and disappointed. I don’t see myself using inKind again.

"Payments have been solid so far"
I’ve used inkind a handful of times now, and the payments have gone through without any issues. No ridiculous delays, no random failed charges, nothing like that. The app itself can feel a little clunky here and there, but as far as actually paying goes, it’s been dependable for me. I’m giving it 4 stars since I still haven’t used it a ton yet.

"I’ve used Inkind a few times..."
I’ve used Inkind a few times, the idea itself seems fair enough. If a restaurant is going to offer something like this, though, it feels only right that the staff are actually shown how it works so customers and servers aren’t put in an awkward spot.
The last time I used it, my server looked confused and had to ask two other people before they could close out my check. It did get handled eventually, but I felt bad sitting there waiting while they were clearly trying to figure out a system they hadn’t really been prepared for.

I don’t blame the staff at all. They were doing their best. It just seems like Inkind and the restaurants need to do a better job making sure everyone is trained before rolling it out, because right now I only want to use it when I know I have extra time.
